Kiri Thode & Taty Frans dominate Curacao Challenge Posted On:  15/05/2013 10:13:52 In a sun- and action filled weekend, Kiri Thode defended his Freestyle title successfully and Taty Frans took the Slalom pro division with ease. 85 windsurfers from some of the world's best surf countries, Bonaire, Aruba and Curacao, competed in front of hundreds of spectators. ......( more )
German victory in Slalom World Championships 2013 Posted On:  12/05/2013 07:35:25 With three outstanding victories Gunnar Asmussen (GER-88, Patrik, North) from Flensburg is the new IFCA Slalom Men's World Champion. Vincent Langer (GER-122, Starboard, Severne) from Kiel, another German, clinched second place overall. In third place, the Dutchman Jordy Vonk (8.0 points) followed by the Dane Sebastian Kornum (13.0 points) in fourth. Maciej Rutkowski from Poland (14.0 points) completes the top five.......( more )
Gunnar Asmussen on Top Form at Slalom World Championships Posted On:  09/05/2013 05:38:07 On the third day the weather forecast came good with a southerly 5-6 blowing. In total, 63 participants were able to complete 2 slalom eliminations with perfect side shore wind. Flensburger Gunnar Asmussen (GER-88, Patrik, North) emerged as the clear winner of two races.......( more )
IFCA Slalom World Championships 2013 Posted On:  08/05/2013 14:48:41 64 participants from 14 countries are taking part in the IFCA Slalom World Championships 2013, from 8 to 12 May as part of the Rollei Summer Opening in Westerland on Sylt. Prize money of eur15,000.00 and the prestigious "IFCA Slalom World Champion 2013" title are at stake.......( more )
Miguel Martinho wins Azores Euro Cup Posted On:  05/05/2013 16:12:49 After a 13 race series in the inaugural Azores Formula Windsurfing European Cup it was national champion Miguel Martinho (POR-5) who emerged victorious, just ahead of 2012 European Cup Champion Valentin Brault (FRA-823). Miguel was also declared European Masters Champion to round off a great start to the 2013 formula racing season. ......( more )
Formula Windsurfing Junior Youth & Masters European Championship Posted On:  30/04/2013 17:42:27 Sunny skies greeted competitors and a long distance race was on the cards.  However, the promised wind failed to arrive, unstable in direction and strength, taunting the race committee who decided by mid afternoon that a BBQ provided by the organisers and sight seeing were far more favourable activities than hanging around waiting.  There is every reason to expect four races in good conditions on Saturday with a great forecast.......( more )

Biscarrosse Windsurfing Challenge Completed Posted On:  24/04/2013 09:19:02 It was a big blue sky that welcomed competitors to the briefing for the last day of racing. With the prospect of weakening winds, the race committee sent the racers afloat at 10:30, hoping to run two rounds of light wind racing, oscillating between 7 and 13 knots. Pannonia Surfing Days to host FW Youth & Master Worlds Posted On:  19/04/2013 12:08:48 Organised by the Austrian Sailing Federation, Pannonia Sailing Days is a new, annual, Windsurfing Race Event that starts in 2013 with a big event.
