98 Competitors from 15 nations have registered and are competing for the 2019 Junior, Youth and Masters Slalom European Championships titles in Alacati, Turkey from 1st through 6th of September.

The local medium wind specialist Bora Kozanoglu takes the first victory in the Masters division, Aruba's Carmen Geelkens (Youth Girls Division) and Turkey's Aylin Ozay (Junior Girls Division) take on the lead after 1 accomplished race in today's tricky conditions.

With the first skippers meeting held at 09:30 and a very light breeze during the morning hours it wasn't until midday when the first races of the championship could officially start. The winds kept building up smoothly from 10 to 12 knots up to 13 to 16 knots.

The Juniors were scheduled first and could manage to race until the C Finals, leaving the A and B for tomorrow which will be interesting to see who will claim the first victory of the 5 days scheduled Championship.

The Master’s division accomplished their first A Final of elimination #1 in very edgy conditions, while the B finals failed to be completed and were abandoned two times due to unsuitable wind conditions during the afternoon.
