All sailors are invited to take part in the 2011 Downunder Pro Formula Windsurfing Championships which will incorporate the Oceanic & Australian FW Championships from 29th January – 5th February 2011, in Hawks Nest, Australia.[more]
Hawks Nest is one of the most picturesque, secret beach locations on the Australian coast and only 2 hours drive from Sydney, boasting epic windsurfing conditions and warm temperatures all year round. The Downunder Pro is a Level 1 World Ranking Continental Championships and will incorporate a warm-up event on 29-30th January as a Level 3 Ranking International Event.
International competitors are welcome and only need travel to Sydney, where our organisation will organise transfers to Hawks Nest which is only 2 hours drive north from the Sydney CBD. In summertime the Hawks Nest area boasts winds from 15-25 knots onshore/sideshore with perfect conditions for windsurfing, as well as a point and beach breaks for SUP’ing, surfing, and many other activities.
