DAY 3 – CLOSE BATTLES & BIG SHIFTS ON THE FOIL
Day 3 began with hopes for stronger winds to kick off the Fin Slalom
racing, but the conditions once again favored Foiling. The action
continued as the first discard came into play after the completion of
the third elimination — raising the stakes as every race point became
crucial. Two full eliminations were completed in winds ranging from 10
to 15 knots.

In the Youth Men’s division, Sacha Fortune maintained his dominance,
reclaiming the lead as Danish rival Kasper Nielsen slipped from first
due to costly mistakes.

French rider Brendan Lorho delivered consistent performances in
Eliminations 3 and 4 to move into third, while Dutch sailor Matthijs Pos
and Italian Gabriele Prosperi, separated by just one point, round out
the top five.

In the Women’s division, Damla Kurtdemir still leads ahead of Melis Bas,
but Ruya Ugurlu made significant gains, climbing the rankings after six
full-fleet races and three discards applied.

In the Open division, Johan Soe remains untouchable at the top, while
the first discard caused major shifts within the top rankings.

Although the wind eased later in the afternoon, it was another exciting
day of high-speed foil racing in Alaçatı. Tomorrow’s early start comes
with an optimistic forecast — and the long-awaited Fin Slalom action
could finally get underway.
