Registration day for the 2017 IFCA Youth & Masters Slalom World Championships welcomed 173 competitors, of which 28 were females, and saw a total of 21 Nations registered.
The day was all about getting ready and set for the championship races which are scheduled right after tomorrow’s (Tuesday’s) 10am skippers meeting with the first possible start set for 11am.[more]
The event’s Official Opening Ceremony took place at the “Site Archeologique d’Olbia”, a historical site (a former Greek Harbour which dates back 2400 years).
Each country had a rider representative to present a speech followed by a few officials such as the Event organizer, Fabien Arnoux, a representative of the French Sailing federation, The IFCA Class President and the Mayor of the city.
The event is now officially open!
