The 2009 Zwitserleven Slalom World Championships will be held Paal 17, Texel, The Netherlands from June 8th to 13th 2009, organised by Stichting Ronde van Texel in co-operation with a local organisational group of windsurfers and also aided by the Texel Windsurfing and Kitesurfing Club. [more]
Texel is the largest “Wadden-island” of the Netherlands, ca. 25 km long and 9 km wide, with about 14,500 inhabitants. There is a large offering of accommodation, ranging from luxury hotels to camping sites and the diverse landscape of Texel always looks beautiful with its picturesque villages, friendly cafes and restaurants, nature, fresh air and space.
The 32nd Zwitserleven Round Texel Race. with over 500 catamarans expected on the beach, will run on the final Championship day, 13 June which will provide a spectacular finale to what promises to be a fantastic mega event.
