The 2008 ISWC Production World Championship in Dungarvan, Ireland, came to an end today, unfortunately without a valid result. The whole event period was caught in a strong northerly flow, recording the coldest week in December since beginning of the chronicles. Nevertheless the 44 competitors from all over Europe found a perfect venue for speedsailing, and everybody is convinced of the quality of both the sandbar and “The Cunnigar”. Preparations for an event late in 2009 and a probable record attempt on a standby basis have already been started.
