The RS:One Windsurfing Class is delighted to be associated with the next event of the action-packed Extreme Sailing SeriesTM renowned for its unique stadium racing format that delivers all the action close to shore, right in front of the spectators. [more]The global circuit spanning three continents, brings together the best skippers on the planet, from Olympic medalists to round-the-world record holders, competing against each other in state of the art 40-foot catamarans. The RS:One Class looks forward to, once again, being part of this spectacular display of close-quarter racing after the successful common event in Nice last September.

The next Extreme Sailing Series event will be staged in the heart of Singapore (Marina Bay) from 9th to 11th December. The NeilPryde Racing Series will take place at 12am on the 10th and 11th of December.

The NeilPryde Racing Series is a tour featuring the universal, ISAF one-design windsurfing class, the RS:One. The Tour started in January in Singapore and has since made stopovers in Dunkerque, Aalborg, Nice, Miami, Hong Kong and Fortaleza.

The RS:One is the new, exciting, ISAF one-design Class by NeilPryde. One sail one board – everyone competing on the same equipment. It’s the rider that makes the difference, allowing male and female racers of all ages to compete on the same equipment. RS:One is a fantastic opportunity for sailing and yachting clubs and federations to organise races and attract newcomers – bringing back the regatta fans to the sport.

The RS:One Class features a new, attractive and dynamic course format making racing a spectacle for the watching crowds. This event will feature an exciting exhibition race with five RS:One sails specially fitted with LED lights. The illuminated sails should provide a very exciting and previously-unseen night racing spectacle.

Top Asian athletes will compete on the RS:One alongside Singapore’s best windsurfers. The RS:One action will take place at the Extreme Sailing Series Race Village at the Marina Bay venue so the public can view all the racing close to shore.

The winner of each division (Male and Female – Youth, Seniors and Masters) will share the €3,000 prize money.
