The first RS:One European Championships concluded last Tuesday in Sopot, Poland.

Courses were set inside the Sopot Bay in the Baltic sea, just meters from the beach, providing a unique spectator experience and allowing for some exciting close-quarter competition on the water.[more]

Racing in two divisions, male and female, the event comprised of 10 qualification races and one fiercely contested final held in extremely challenging conditions with fluctuating winds of between 4 to 11 knots.

The RS:One class races are either a “Pulsar course” (reaching start following by a slalom and then an upwind to finish on a reach) or a long distance course. The final includes the top 3 of each division and is the only race that counts for the podium ranking.

The next event is the first RS:One world championships in Boracay, Philippines, 10-15th December.
