NeilPryde Racing Series and Jaguar are delighted to announce their first European independent event in the city of Torbole, Italy on the 22nd and 23rd of September.[more]
Torbole is a small town on the shore of Lake Garda, in Northern Italy. The picturesque town, once famous for attracting Romantic artists, is now a favourite haunt of windsurfers. It will provide a superb setting for the RS:One races organised by NeilPryde and Jaguar.
The Jaguar NeilPryde Racing Series is a world tour featuring the new, ISAF universal one-design windsurfing class, RS:One. The Racing Series features an attractive and dynamic race format making the racing a spectacle for the watching crowds and allowing windsurfers of all levels, ages and genders to compete together.
The Saturday evening race will be especially spectacular, as the sails will be illuminated with LEDs.
Top Italian and European racers will compete on the RS:One sailboards along with other local windsurfers. The action will take place at the Torbole Windsurfing Centre so the public can view all the racing close to shore. The winners of each division will share the US $3000 prize money.
Jaguar will showcase their exciting range of vehicles including the all-new XF Sportbrake, which was revealed in March at the Geneva Motor show. The new model draws on the strengths of the highly successful XF. The XF Sportbrake combines the performance and craftsmanship of the award-winning saloon with the space and practicality of a luxury estate, perfectly aligning itself with the needs of the most active of lifestyles.
Jaguar will appear on sails, boards, buoys and rider lycras.
The weekend will also be the perfect opportunity for windsurfers, stand up paddle boarders and the general public to enjoy the spectacle of windsurfing and find out more about Jaguar and the 2013 NeilPryde collection.
