But it is not only the scenery that is charming: the hospitality of the people, the special cuisine and the rich and original culture make Ceara an irresistible tourist destination. Those who know about it, come back – and so it is that IFCA return with two continental championships organised by the Associacao Brasileira de Windsurf (ABWS).


Camocim is a beach town in western Ceara. Parts of its more glorious past as an agriculture export port can be felt if walking in the area near the former train station. This era came to a halt when the river changed its course, and ships could no longer pass its mouth. Today it is genuine Cearanes fishing village with great beaches to windsurf from!

Praia do Futuro, Fortaleza, about 7 km long, is the preferred one for bathing and surfing in Fortaleza. Praia do Futuro was made famous by its barracas (rustic restaurants built on the beach sand), which offer excellent food and local musical shows. Read more about Praia do Futuro.
