Hoi An is a city on Vietnam’s central coast known for its well-preserved Ancient Town, cut through with canals. 30 km south of Da Nang, lies on the branch of the Thu Bon River. Occupied by early western traders, Hoi An was one of the major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16th century. All the houses were made of wood, decorated with lacquered boards and panels engraved with old ancient characters. Pillars were also carved with ornamental designs. Hoi An has earned UNESCO heritage site status and has become a very popular tourist destination in Vietnam.

The 2017 RS:One World Championships will be held on the beautiful white sand beach of the luxury Hoi An Boutique Resort. Expected ferocious battles for the 51 racers coming from 14 countries and 3 continents including the 2010 RS:X Female World Champion Miss Blanca Manchon. China will attend for the first time an RS:One World Championships looking to impress the international fleet 1 year before the 2018 Asian Games to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Stay tuned for great action to come !
