Clube de vela de Lagos is once again hosting the FW Youth and Masters World Championship in Lagos, Portugal. 57 competitors from 14 countries have registered and Master of the Masters, Janis Preiss from Latvia, hopes to retain his title against some fairly stiff competition. [more]
The Opening ceremony took place at the restaurant situated inside the military camping area opposite the club in the early evening. The first Skippers meeting was eagerly anticipated but lack of wind meant postponement until 14.00. Unfortunately it did not look promising, and at 17.00 the announcement came – No racing today. Everyone has fingers crossed for Wednesday!
