In this South American and Pan-American IFCA Slalom Championship in Paracas, windsurfers will compete among the best in the world – such as the representative of Aruba, Ethan Westera ARU-4, the 2017 IFCA Slalom World Champion.
Although the competition promises to be very close and has the participation of about 40 representatives from Argentina, Aruba, Brazil, Colombia, Curacao and Peru; and France, as an invited country; our athletes promise to give a first class show and demonstrate all the national talents.
In the Peruvian team Alessio Botteri PER-20, who is currently located in the fourth place of the IFCA World Ranking for Men Slalom, will be the main player to reach the 2018 South American Title, and even the Pan American.
In the Women division, Maria Belen Bazo PER-50, our Peruvian representative in Olympic windsurfing and the current South American Championship, is a great candidate to obtain a medal at the 2019 Pan-American Games in Lima. She is determined to demonstrate that she can achieve a title in other disciplines too.
