DAY 3 SOME WATER TIME IN PAROS

The races could finally start on the third competition day here in Paros.

Somewhat around mid day – after the daily skippers meeting, followed by a athletes meeting – the wind started to increase and was measured between 11 and 14 Knots.

It was time to give it a try as the race committee pushed for the start of the races of the Men division. Heat 1 and Heat 2 of the first elimination were completed after a few cancellation and retrials. The wind became more unstable during the afternoon hours and everyone was back to standby mode. The wind did not improve and the athletes were released for the day, tomorrow the races will continue for both Men and Women.

The weather feels better with the breeze blowing from the right direction and tomorrow’s forecast looks very promising and everyone is looking forward to some extra good races in stronger winds.
