Day 1 of the Brazil Open Windsurf 2026

The first day of racing at the Brazil Open and we can already say: it was an absolute success! ⛵️

The Windsurfer, IQFoil, Foil, Formula Fin, Raceboard and Formula Sport classes completed three races each. We will soon release the official results.

The wind blew from the south-southeast quadrant, with many swerves and intensity varying between 5 and 12 knots, making the races even more challenging, almost like a real game of chess on the water.

The conditions demanded refined technique, strategy and a lot of endurance from the athletes to pump their equipment in the light wind.

In these conditions, lighter sailors and specialists in light winds ended up having an advantage. But that’s how the sport is: you need to be prepared for all scenarios.

Tomorrow’s forecast indicates an average wind speed increase of about 5 knots. Let’s see what’s in store!

One thing is certain: exciting races, incredible competitions, and an unforgettable vibe marked this first day.

Congratulations to all the competitors, families, and supporters who helped make this event a great reality.

May there always be good winds!

Let’s enjoy it, after all, we only live once.

Welcome everyone!
