From 7th to 11th September Almanarre will host the 2011 IFCA Junior, Youth, Women & Masters Slalom Championship. Not only are there European Championship titles up for grabs but also the 2011 IFCA Women’s Slalom World Champion will be declared at this event.[more]

Current Women’s World Slalom Champion, 19 year old Alice Arutkin from Wimereux, France, proved to be unbeatable at the Worlds in Brazil last November, winning every round.

This was after she had stamped her authority over the girls at the IFCA Slalom Youth Championships at Hyeres in April, when she won 7 of the total of 9 rounds – three discards led to a perfect score of 4.2.

She is also 2nd on the overall PWA Women’s Slalom ranking at the moment so a formidable opponent to beat! Come on ladies – who is up for the challenge?

IFCA returns to the venue of the 2010 Junior Youth and Masters which attracted more than 130 competitors from 18 countries around the world. Almanarre was also the venue for the IFCA Slalom Worlds 2007 – “the highlight of the IFCA Slalom season”.

Located in the South of France, on the Mediterranean coast, close to the city of Hyeres, the white sandy beach at l’Almanarre stretches for nearly 3 miles along the western spit of the Giens tombolo. Visit “Discover Hyeres” or Hyeres Tourism to find out more about the area.
