The Event will be held in San Juan, the Capital of Puerto Rico. Specifically in the Ultimo Trolley Beach extending to Ocean Park Beach. San Juan offers the perfect balance between city and beach. Interesting enough, San Juan, also happens to provide the best and most dependable conditions for kitesurfing and windsurfing in Puerto Rico. But make sure you dont limit your stay to only the dates of the competition; there is so much to see, do and taste! Happening clubs and discos make San Juan one of the Caribbean’s nightlife capitals, rivaling even Miami. Great restaurants run the gamut from elegant places in San Juan to simple spots serving delicious comida criolla. Beaches – both developed and wild – suit the needs of surfers, sunbathers, and families. Nature abounds, from the underground Río Camuy to El Yunque, the only Caribbean national forest
The organisers have selected The Sheraton Puerto Rico as the Official Host Hotel of the 2011 PR Wind Fest. Situated in the midst of the Puerto Rico Convention Center District and next to the marina, the hotel is a district centerpiece that is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the international airport, 8 minutes from the competition site and five minutes from historic Old San Juan.
