Puerto Rico Formula Windsurfing is very happy to announce that the current number 1 in the Formula Rankings, 10th at last year’s Formula World Championship and current Light Weight World Champion, Brazilian Wilhelm Schurmann, has confirmed his participation in this year’s World Formula Windsurfing Championships. Along with Wilhelm we are expecting the powerful Formula Windsurfing Brazilian Armada to attend the World Championships!
Wilhelm commented on the World Championship site:
“I have been in Puerto Rico on several occasions, both for Formula and Slalom competition. The sailing conditions are very very nice, warm crystal clear waters and 10-25 knots breeze every time I went. The island has a Caribbean and Latino beat to it, and mixed with friendly people and great organization, should make it a remarkable Formula World Championship”.
We welcome Wilhelm and the Brazilian Armada to our warm waters! They will make these Championships a very competitive event.
