The Mexican National Championship finalized past weekend; with conditions varying from 8 to 22 knots spread in 3 days of competition, on the gorgeous coast of Cancun.[more] This variety of conditions made the championship very interesting, being the most complete sailors the ones who took the title in their respective categories.
50 windsurfers with ages between 11 and 45 participated in the event in all the different classes like RS:X, Formula Experience and Bic Techno 293.
This event is a success for the growing of the sport in Mexico, most of the participants kept the motivation going and now Mexico will have athletes participating at international level on the Miami OCR for the RS:X class, and the San Francisco World Championships on the Techno 293 class.

The Formula Experience National Class took this opportunity to confirm the 2011 world Championship, to be held on this very same location, Marina La Amada Cancun, from December 26th until the 31st of 2011.
The next windsurfing event organized in Mexico will be the North American Championships in the Island of Cozumel, 80km south of Cancun from February the 17th till 20th of 2011 for T293, RS:X, Formula Experience and Raceboard classes.
