The 3rd day started with a 12 Km SUP race valid for the state circuit. Paulo dos Reis competed finishing almost 5 minutes ahead of the second place. After 1 hour, the Brazilian super-athlete was there to race the 3 valid Formula Experience races of the day.[more]
After 3 days and 8 races disputed, Paulo is still clear ahead and the fight for the second place is intense. Eduardo Hermann, from Chile and Fernando Pasqualin are separated by 1 point only.
Tomorrow 3 more races are scheduled, starting at 11:00 a.m.
On the second day, 2 more races were completed in Salvador. The course was set in a different place, closer to the event headquarters. The result was a very fun regatta! The competitors could choose on the two sides of the course, to sail in relative flat water or in a “Formula Wave” racing style in the outside layline.
Two more days and 6 possible races until the end of the event. On Sunday a new South American Champion will be crowned in Salvador. The current continental and world champion Nicolas Schreier is in Brazil, buy an injury on his foot got him out of water. Nicolas is always together with the Peruvian team coaching the young racers and will be ready for defend his World Title on December in Paracas, Peru.
Paulo dos Reis is clear ahead in Salvador with only 4 points in 5 races completed. But today he lost his invincibility, finishing on 4th place at the last race of the day. Tomorrow the super-athlete from Brazil will compete in a local 12km SUP race before the 3 back to back Formula Experience races!

3 races completed at the first day in Salvador, Brazil. After a very calm morning the wind picked up and the sailors competed with 14 knots and 3 knots of tide helping the sailors on the upwind legs and big waves helping on the downwind legs.
Paulo dos Reis (BRA 3333) dominated the fleet with 3 bullets. Fernando Pasqualin (BRA 159) is the 2nd classified and Eduardo Herman (CHI 2) holds the 3rd place.
Tomorrow 3 more races are scheduled and the forecast is the same: good wind starting, strong current and big waves outside.
