Over the final 2 days of this years championship in Sopot, Poland, 4 races were held to complete a full series of 12 races in all divisions.
The 2013 world champions are:
Youth boy – Ofek Elmeleh (Israel)
Youth girl – Stefania Elfutina (Russia)
Junior boy – Yoav Cohen (Israel)
Junior girl – Giorgia Speciale (Italy) [more]
“I do not believe that I am the champion” – said Elemeleh Ofek -“it is an amazing experience. At the last World Championship I was the fifth. I trained very hard for two years. It’s a great feeling”.
“It was close …” – laughed a happy Elfutina Stefania. “I’m happy, but it was hard to beat the competitor from Hong Kong and the UK,” – said the world champion in girls under the 17 years division.
“”We trained very hard for this competition. We wanted to win!” said Georgia from the big Italian team.
“The place is beautiful. And people are helpful and friendly “- commented the coach of India.
“Great organization, great place; we had better weather-finally, we are from Greece! “- joked the coch representing this country.
