The 2015 American Windsurfing Tour (AWT) will be run in seven stages, between February 24th and November 10th. And there’s a surprise in the calendar: Cabo Verde.[more]

Kevin Pritchard and Ingrid Larouche, the 2014 AWT champions, will return to defend their titles in a seven-stop schedule. The wave sailing circuit will kick off in Cabo Verde and wraps up in Maui, Hawaii.

The American Windsurfing Tour is selling a 2015 season pass for 500 dollars, which gets you access to all events. The cost of registration is 125 dollars per event, so if you pay for four at one time, the fifth is free.

The circuit includes six divisions: professional, amateur, women, youth, masters, and grand masters. Wildcards are awarded to the best local riders in each stage.

The judging criteria of the American Windsurfing Tour includes wave height, turns in critical sections, angles in the turns, length of ride, completion of tricks, technical skills demonstrated and wow factor to the judges.

Jump scoring will be based on difficulty of the move, height, execution and landing; how clean, how smooth, creativity, some reward for pushing new moves, but landing is much better. The highest scoring jump of each type will be counted.
