Coming up are the US Windsurfing Nationals with racing scheduled from Wednesday to Friday, 12 to 14 August. The event is also the 2015 Formula Windsurfing North American Championship. [more]
Host and organizers Xavier Ferlet and his wife Lyra have done a great job so far of organizing the event at one of the premier US windsurfing spots which has demonstrated over many years consistent winds, and great conditions for racing in a variety of classes and disciplines.

Classes this year include Formula, Kona, Division II and Raceboard.
Disciplines are course racing, slalom, speed and freestyle.
Fun categories, combined with Xaviers high level of enthusiasm, also added.

Combine this event with being a great location for sightseeing and vacationing, Los Angeles, home to Hollywood and more, it is hard to beat. Los Angeles is a great starting point or destination for outstanding touristic adventures to some of the top places in the USA to see and do.
Other destinations by car include the famous windsurfing spots of San Francisco (6 hours)and the Columbia River Gorge (15 hours).

Also within reach are iconic destinations like Yosemite National Park (6 hours) and Sequoia National Park, (7.5 hours) along with seven other National Parks. California has the most in the US totaling nine. Add in national forest parks, reserves, state parks, county parks, city parks, and you would be busy for a long time.

Six Floridians have committed already to attending and will be traveling 2,700 miles to the event to be joined by the west coast contingent.
It should be worthy and fun

US Windsurfing SE Region Director
