From June 7th to 11th the IFCA Fin & Foil Slalom European Championships will take place on Borkum island in Germany. Competitors who want to take place in this highlight of the 2023 season are reminded to register for the event and (which may be even more important) to book ferry tickets for the trip to the island and back after the competition. The event takes place at high season. So many ferry slots will be booked. You shouldn’t wait too long to reserve your slot as capacities are limited.

All competitors get a 40% refund on the costs for the ferry ticket. The procedure is simple: The riders book their ferry tickets individually for their preferred times. When they are at the Europeans on Borkum they may claim the 40% refund from the „Nordseeheilbad Borkum GmbH“.

Ferries are traveling to Borkum from Emden in Germany and Eemshaven in The Netherlands. The trip from Eemshaven is shorter, faster and also cheaper. For people arriving from East the Emden ferry may be more attractive nonetheless as they save some distance and time in the car. In the end the schedule of the ferries departures and the free capacities may be the decisive point for the ferry booking.
