Being on hold for 2 days due to the massive Typhoon Mengi, the 66 racers from 3 continents knew they had to be ready for an intense day of races.  5 races back to back “Regatta” in a solid breeze up to 25 knots, helped to deliver another exceptional day of racing here in Penghu.

In the men fleet, Hong Kong is claiming back the lead of the men fleet with the consistency of Ho Tsun Leung, Howard Chang from Taipei is now second ahead of Rafeek Kikabhoy from Hong Kong.[more]
Hong Kong is confirming its domination in the Women fleet with Hei Man Hayley Chan and Wai Yan Ngai respectively 1st and 2nd. Sarocha Prumpai form Thailand is now in position to chase the leaders being third.
The RS:One Class, in partnership with the Chinese Taipei Sailing Association and the Windsurfing Club Guan YIn Ting, is hosting the 2016 RS:One World Championships from 26th to 30th September in Penghu, Taiwan.
The championship, open to all, will allow international racers to compete through innovative race formats like the Pulsar (compact slalom, America’s Cup style) and Marathon (long distance). Courses are set up in a way that the on-shore audience can enjoy the racing.
RS:One is a multi generational, one-design, windsurfing board featuring an easy and light performing 7.8 rig. Espoirs (youth under 22 years old), Seniors (under 40 year old) and Masters (older than 40), men and women, can race together on the same starting line in a collective fleet.
